As you can see for yourself, this is one awesome-looking chocolate chip cookie! What was most impressive was that this was one of those pre-packaged cookies sitting by the cash register. What was most surprising was that it was at none other than Finagle A Bagel, previously mentioned on this blog for having such wonderful, chewy bagels. And contrary to most cash-register-impulse-buy cookies, this chocolate chip cookie is highly recommended. In fact, it was so good, I don’t think these pictures do it justice.
As a friend with me at Finagle said:
“The cookie was very moist. Many times store-bought cookies are hard and not very good. These seemed home-baked and very flavorful. And the chocolate chips were really tasty!”
Grab some cookies for yourself at the Finagle A Bagel location in Chestnut Hill, about a 10-15 minute walk from the Chestnut Hill stop on the D line. Map it yourself at the Fussy Eater On-the-Road Dessert Crawl!
That looks like the same cookie they sell at Barnes & Noble cafes, with the mix of different chocolate pieces. The key is to get them just after they pull them out of the oven.
